Who is Suvo?
Suvo is artist Greg Travous b. 1950 , Belleville, IL . After too many years in marketing
and advertising he decided to take a "road trip" selling his artworks on paper, wood and canvas. This was to be a one year
trip painting, camping and seeing new vistas particularly in the southern United States. A number of communities welcomed
Suvo as a colorful but temporary addition to their Farmers Markets and street fairs. Where there was no event ,Suvo sought
out local artists and helped create a First Amendment Art Forum on public property.
St. Augustine Florida has resisted all attempts to honor Artist's rights and this has
extended Suvo's road trip another year and one half ( Feb 2008). He has been jailed and cited numerous times for simply
displaying his artwork on public property. Suvo's companion is Karl ,a 13 year old Rottweiler.
